Camellia Oil and Dispenser

£20

Camellia oil, pressed from the seeds of Camellia oleifera (the same plant family as tea), has long been used in Japan to protect tools from rust. It’s applied during cleaning and left as a light protective coating.

This blend of cold-pressed camellia seed oil and white mineral oil leaves a deep, dry finish with no smell and no taste. That makes it particularly useful for kitchen knives, as well as woodworking and garden tools. Not for human consumption.

Best use:

Camellia oil is ideal for cleaning Japanese carbon steel tools, conditioning wooden handles, and protecting moving parts from moisture and corrosion. It forms a thin barrier against rust without feeling greasy, and is non-toxic and odourless.

For best results, remove sap or resin first, dry the item thoroughly, then apply a small amount using a cloth or oil dispenser. A little goes a long way.
